Dare to take a speedboat tour through the majestic Ciénaga Grande, to get to know and interact with the communities of the Palafitos peoples, with their colorful wooden houses built on the water and learn about the customs and traditions of this amphibian culture.
This guided tour begins by leaving the hotel in the city of Santa Marta at 5:30 am by land vehicle to reach the nautical dock on the shores of the Trunk of the Caribbean, where we will take a speedboat with a tent that will take us through the swamp. Grande, passing through Caño Grande until we reach the first palafito town called Buena Vista of about 700 inhabitants, there we will take a tour through the streets of the town in an artisanal fishermen's canoe and we can interact with the community and learn about its amphibian culture, then we will continue the tour in our boat to reach the second and largest of the two towns; New Venice of about 2,800 inhabitants, where we will visit the central Church, the school, the synthetic soccer field and the house of handicrafts. After this great experience with amphibian culture, we will start the trip back to the city of Ciénaga, where we will arrive in approximately 1 hour 30 minutes to have lunch.
